A Serbian wedding is a joyous, community-wide celebration, and the convoy is one of its great traditions. The collecting of the bride, the procession through the streets with flags and horns, and the grand arrival to the reception all turn on the cars — and a coordinated convoy is the way it’s done.
The tradition, and the arrival
The day runs the collecting of the bride from her family home — often with music, the barjaktar carrying the flag, and the good-humoured customs of the send-off — then the Serbian Orthodox church ceremony with its crowning, and a large hall reception with the kolo line dance. The role of the kum (godfather) runs through it all.
The convoy
The convoy leads the day. A white Rolls-Royce for the couple, flanked by a line of matched G-Wagons or Maybachs for the family, moving together through the suburb with flags and horns. We coordinate the order, the spacing and the route so the line arrives as one. See our convoy planning guide.
The cars that suit the day
A white Rolls-Royce carries the couple; a convoy of G-Wagons or Maybachs brings the bold, modern line for the family and the wedding party.
The shape of the day
A Serbian wedding runs the collecting of the bride from her family home — the barjaktar with the flag, the music and the customs of the send-off — then the Serbian Orthodox church ceremony with its crowning, and a large hall reception with the kolo. We plan the gathering at the family homes, the convoy to the church and the reception, and hold the cars between stops so the line stays together and the day never waits.
Timing & logistics
Serbian weddings often gather at the groom’s home, then the bride’s, before the convoy sets off to the church and the reception. We plan the pickups, the route and the timing, holding cars between stops so no one waits and the line stays together.
